Bedfordshire, with its traditional market county town of Bedford, is in the east of England and spreads from Luton and Dunstable up past Bedford, bordering Hertfordshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire. The county features a ridge of the beautiful rolling Chiltern hills across the south and, with easy access to many cities and large towns of the south-east, many historic visitor attractions.

There are attractive market towns such as Leighton Buzzard in the Chilterns and Bedford in the north where there is also a castle. There are many impressive historic houses, halls and castles to visit over the region with Woburn being a major attraction, where there is also a world famous safari park. There are many attractive gardens that are open to visitors.
