Whilst its proximity London ensures a large and affluent population, Berkshire still possesses much rural scenery, including long stretches of the River Thames. The county is most famed for Windsor, with its historic royal castle, but there are other towns such as Ascot and villages such as Bray and Eton that are unique and worth a visit. There are many attractions and pretty villages throughout the Thames Valley.
