Accommodation and travel ideas in Cardiff
Cardiff has a long and chequered past that is now pulling visitors in and making it one of the UKs tourist hotspots to see all the attractions, especially in the summer as much is outdoors. The Roman fort foundations of the city are over 2000 years old and after slow development through the medieval ages playing third fiddle to Merthyr and Swansea it went through meteoric change to become the capital of Wales in 1955. The attractions span all ages.
Historic places to visit in Cardiff
Cardiff is worth appreciating in its entire age span, from the ancient Cardiff Castle and medieval Llandaff Cathedral to the Wales Millennium Centre and the National Assembly for Wales, and of course all the museums and galleries in between.
