Accommodation and travel ideas in Cornwall
Cornwall is situated to the very south-west of England and is naturally isolated by its long and breathtaking scenery which is part of the reason that the area has often considered itself as a separate 'country' of Kernow. The place is steeped in Celtic heritage such as the legend of King Arthur and has a litany of tales of smuggling and pirates. Whilst the scenic coast and places such as Tintagel are connected with many of these, the county is now becoming more famous for its flora and gardens, from the ancient Bodmin moor to the futuristic looking Eden project - and with a whole host of fantastic gardens in between.
Historic places to visit in Cornwall
Some of the most famous attractions are King Arthur's birthplace and Lands End with the striking St Michael's mount, and whilst the coast is one reason why people visit the area there are also many things to see inland. There are numerous gardens and historic homes that go with them along with the world renowned Eden project, whilst there are a growing number of art galleries throughout the county. The county town of Truro with its Cathedral is worth a visit.
Historic Cornwall bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) and hotel accommodation in Cornwall
The more historic hotels and bed and breakfast accommodation tends to be towards the centre of the older towns. For those that prefer quieter rural locations then there are many hotels, pubs and B&Bs in the smaller towns and villages throughout the area.
