Accommodation and travel ideas in Hull

The long history of this great maritime city came to the start of the 1900s with an industrial and mercantile might that made it a major northern and British city. Although its economic might may have dipped since then it is again a rising attraction of the area. The flat landscape and low but often breathtaking historic buildings make for a powerful image when combined with a view out to the brooding, bleak, mighty expanse of the Humber Estuary.

Historic places to visit in Hull

Despite Hull heavy bombing during the Second World War, the 700 years since the granting of its first charter have left it with a whole host of architectural styles and accompanying attractions to visit. From Flemish inspired facades to beautiful domed civic buildings; industrially there are dock offices to imposing industrial heritage warehouses and mills. And the older periods are covered by the medieval cobbled charm of the old town, grand private merchant's houses and Georgian terraces.

Historic Hull bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) and hotel accommodation near Hull

The more historic hotels and bed and breakfasts will be towards the centre but there are a decent range of hotels throughout the city along with more rural hotels and B&Bs to stay at within easy reach of the city. Overall, there is a good range of bed and breakfast accommodation.
