Inverness: bed and breakfast accommodation

Advertised as "the Gateway to the Highlands" by the local authority, and long regarded as the capital of the Highlands, it has both a firm place in the chequered history of the area and in the maintenance of local traditional industry. It is also said to be one of the fastest growing cities in Europe with increased technology and culture to accompany it.

Historic places to visit in Inverness

The city's castle, museum, art gallery and church are all very centrally located and attractions worth visiting, although the Sheriff Court in the castle is still active so the inside of that room is to be avoided. The world famous Loch Ness is a major attraction of the area and is then easy access to some of the stunning views of northern Scotland.

Historic Inverness bed and breakfasts (B&Bs) and hotel accommodation near Inverness

The more historic hotels and bed and breakfasts will be towards the centre but there are a decent range of hotels throughout the city along with more rural hotels and B&Bs to stay at within easy reach of the city. Overall, there is a good range of bed and breakfast accommodation.
