Accommodation and travel ideas in Lincoln
This county town of Lincolnshire is home to a well-renowned Cathedral and Castle and the town layout is still based on the Roman-Medieval settlement. The Cathedral in particular is architecturally singular and the base of legends. The original settlement is from the Iron Age although knowledge of its extent is limited by being covered by the subsequent Roman and medieval ruins. It stands on one of the Civil War boundaries when many buildings and industries were badly damaged.
