Introduction

This is a two bedroom, two bathroom apartment on the lower ground floor of a converted period building with its own entrance. Non-smoking, wi-fi Internet access (please note, Mac users may have some difficulty connecting).
Traditional English decor in elegantly muted colours. The flat has been totally renovated by an interior designer and is in the best of taste.

The open plan sitting room has a dining area near the kitchen, with a stylish glass-topped table that seats six people. At the opposite end a comfortable sofa and antique chairs are grouped around the inlaid marble fireplace, flanked by a pair of ornate mirrors. Other amenities include a TV, DVD and fax machine.

The kitchen is fitted with new units and all new appliances including gas hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher. Solid wood worktops complete the ensemble, highlighted by mirrored mosaic tiling. A washing machine and tumble dryer are provided in the large cupboard in the entrance hall.

The master bedroom has a king size bed (can be made up as twins) and a whole wall of fitted cupboards. It overlooks a small patio. The second bedroom has twin beds. The en-suite master bathroom, in pale tones with a slate floor, has a wash basin, a tub with a good power shower over it and a toliet. The second bathroom has the same facilities.

This area between Victoria and the river is a mix of grand Victorian terraces, historic buildings, government offices and modern apartment blocks. From the flat an interesting riverside walk could take you to Westminster Abbey and the Houses of Parliament or the Tate Britain art gallery. For a change of scene one could take a cruise along the Thames, downstream to Greenwich or upstream to Hampton Court. The area has easy access by bus and tube to all other parts of town, and there are plenty of shopping and dining options in the neighbourhood, with numerous restaurants, cafés, shops large and small and some outdoor markets.
