Introduction
Situated on the fringe of the Vale of Belvoir in a tranquil Lincolnshire village, Allington Manor provides quality service, peace of mind and sheer indulgence, amid a truly historic and beautiful setting.
Accommodation comprises three individually decorated and furnished luxury ensuite rooms. Guests may unwind at the end of the day in the Drawing Room with its open fire or, if the weather is fine, in the beautiful garden.
Excellent rail and road links provide access to a variety of lively attractions close to hand.
History to the present day
The Manor is a beautifully restored Grade II Jacobean building steeped in history, with the original Manor on this site recorded in the Domesday Book.
The current Manor dates back to 1450, with evidence of cellars, attics and priest holes everywhere.
Food and Drinks
A full English breakfast is included.
If you are celebrating a birthday or anniversary over the weekend; start with pre-dinner drinks and canapés in the Drawing Room followed by dinner around the large oak table in the Hall that can comfortably seat 12.
Alternatively, invite friends and family for a buffet and entertainment. Prices start at £38.50 for a 3 course meal. Please request a booking in Additional Information section of the booking form.
Grounds and gardens
In the spring and summer the well-stocked garden offers comfortable seats where guests can enjoy morning coffee, afternoon tea or an early evening drink from the bar.
Other facilities
The Drawing Room has a luxurious yet homely feel with its Nina Campbell curtains which, although recent additions, have a distinctly Jacobean appearance.
The Knowle settee, open fire and antiques all create an atmosphere in which to relax with morning coffee when planning the day ahead or to have a nightcap whilst listening to music before retiring to bed.
