Introduction

This 4 star bed and breakfast is situated in the heart of Edinburgh city centre just a few minutes walk to Edinburgh's shopping district of Princes Street and George Street. Many major tourist attractions are within walking distance. Well serviced by local buses and a short bus ride will take you to Edinburgh's Royal Mile where you will find Edinburgh Castle and the Queens Scottish residence Holyrood Palace. 

All bedrooms have been recently refurbished to a very high standard with en-suite bathrooms with showers and include quality toiletries. Rooms also have television, free wireless internet access, hairdryers, ironing facilities, tea and coffee with traditional Scottish shortbread biscuits. Please note: there is a 3 night minimum stay in August and a 4 night minimum stay at New Year.

History to the present day

Built in the Victorian era, the house still retains many original features and architecture. 

Food and Drinks

Full Scottish Breakfast is included with other options available from the breakfast menu. A variety of cereals, fruit, fresh orange juice and hot toast are served with breakfast. Fresh filtered coffee served as well as  tea on request. Porridge and kippers can be ordered. Vegetarians and vegan options can be catered for. Guests are welcome to use the water cooler situated in the hallway which supplies continuous ice cold water. Breakfast is served at 8.30am or 9.00am. Earlier breakfast from 8.00am can be requested. Breakfasts to go, are available for guests leaving early on day trips.
