Introduction

The Burlington Hotel is Folkestone's highest rated 3 star hotel, standing in its own grounds and set in tranquil surroundings overlooking the English Channel. Built in the 1890's, the hotel retains its Victorian charm, whilst offering all the mod cons expected by todays discerning traveller. Just a 10 minute walk from Folkestone's town centre, and 4 miles from the Channel Tunnel terminal, it is the ideal place to stop, whether you are visiting for a short break, or simply passing through. The hotel is owned and operated by Castlewood Hotels, a small family run hotel group based in the South East of England.

The hotel has 70 well-appointed guest rooms, some with panoramic views over the channel, consisting of standard, superior and deluxe room types all offering freeview televisions with radio channels, hairdryers, telephones and tea & coffee making facilities.

Food and Drinks

Full English breakfast is served. The restaurant focuses on seasonal and modern British fayre using locally and ethically sourced ingredients where possible, complimented by a comprehensive wine list and a range of after dinner liquers. The Martello Bar and its adjoining lounges offer fairtrade and organic hot beverages with a popular snack menu in the afternoons. In the evenings, the Bay Tree Bar is the ideal setting to sit back, unwind and enjoy from a selection of wines, beers, or even a glass of bubbly.

The Premier Suite offers luxurious accommodation for up to 200 delegates for theatre style meeetings, whilst smaller conferences can be accommodated in the Domino or Radnor Rooms. There are also facilities for boardroom style meetings or interviews for up to 14 delegates. The Premier Suite is well suited for private dinners of up to 150 people. The Burlington Hotel is also a popular wedding venue, licensed to hold civil ceremonies.

Other facilities

Trinty Wellbeing operates in partnership with Castlewood Hotels, with Trinity Clinic already located at the Burlington Hotel. Trinity Clinic is a boutique clinic that specialises in detoxification, relaxation and rejuvination. The treatments that are currently offered are colonic hydrotherapy, a range of massage therapies (including holistic and lymphatic drainage massage), the use of the top quality infared sauna, and personal health consultations that are tailored to your individual needs.

Directions: By Road: M20 towards Folkestone, exiting at junction 13, then the third exit off the first roundabout, and the second exit off the second roundabout. At the traffic lights, follow the middle lane onto Shorncliffe Road, then take the fifth right turning onto Earls Avenue. The Burlington Hotel is at the end on the right.

By Rail: Folkestone Central is located 1 mile from the Burlington Hotel and offers high speed rail link services to London St Pancras in just 55 minutes.
