Introduction

A family run bed and breakfast, situated in the Newington district of Edinburgh, adjacent to the popular Cameron Toll Shopping Centre. Only a 10 minute bus journey into the heart of Edinburgh's city centre, with Edinburgh Castle and the Royal Mile. Within walking distance of Holyrood Palace, The Queens Gallery, New Scottish Parliament Building, Dynamic Earth, Queens Park and Arthur Seat.

Choose from double and family rooms which have been newly decorated and are equipped with a LCD Television with freeview. Also included are tea and coffee facilities, hairdryer, alarm clock and wireless broadband. Families with young children are welcome and travel cots are provided free of charge.

Please note there is a minimum stay of 2 nights in August and 3 nights at New Year.

History to the present day

The property was built in 1822 and is only one of two designs by a local Scottish architect and is made from traditional Scottish stone and retains some original features.

Food and Drinks

Full Scottish breakfast is included and served from 8.00am-8.30am weekdays and 9.00am-9.30am weekends and is made freshly made to order. A variety of other traditional Scottish dishes are available such as potato scones, haggis and real Scots porridge oats. Special dietary requirements are catered for.

Directions: From the A702 heading to Edinburgh/Biggar/Lanark/A73, go through 3 roundabouts. Take 3rd exit onto Biggar Rd/A702 exit to Edinburgh East & N/Leith. Merge onto A720, take the A701 exit toward Peebles/A703. At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Burdiehouse Rd/A701 heading to Edinburgh South, continue to follow A701on the right hand lane until Cameron Toll, take the 2nd exit onto Peffermill Rd/A6095, destination will be on the left, 5th house on the left hand side.
