Just 100 yards from Pluckley station, you can hop onto a train to London or Ashford International and pick up Eurostar, or drive to Folkestone, board Eurotunnel and be in France in no time. The Dering Arms, friendly, comfortable and convenient!
Four warm and welcoming double bedrooms that complement the style of the building. The Dering Suite has its own bath and shower room, kitchen and large lounge, ( able to sleep up to 5 ). Two double rooms have en-suite shower rooms and one has its own separate bathroom. Each room has a King-size bed with memory foam topped mattresses, crisp white cotton linen, large fluffy towels, a TV and a hairdryer.
History to the present day
Built in the 1840's originally as the hunting lodge serving the Dering Estate, one of the largest estates in the area at the time. It's actually a replica of the main manor house (only to a smaller scale), and the grand façade features Dutch gables and other architectuctural features.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served from 8.30am-9.00am with Full English or Continental Breakfast (or a menu to suit). Advance notice is required for an earlier breakfast.
Long-serving owner Jim Buss runs the kitchen personally with every meal prepared to order, using only the finest of fresh produce often supplied locally. Lunch is served from 12.00pm-2.00pm and Dinner 7.00pm-10.00pm. Seasonal seafood is the kitchen's forte and the regular menu is boosted by a daily blackboard. Dering Ale (the house beer) is brewed especially for the pub by Goacher's of Maidstone, and the promotion of real ales from other independent breweries is ongoing. A fine selection of ale and cider from the local area, and some of the best vintage wines from around the world is served.
