Introduction
Dippersmoor Manor is a grade II listed Manor house set in idyllic rural surroundings outside the village of Kilpeck with outstanding views over the Black Mountains. You approach the house up a very French, poplar tree lined drive arriving in a spectacular curtilage of a brick & timber converted stable block and a traditional 120' Hereford Long Barn, with the Manor house on the third side. Offering three double ensuite bedrooms, one of which can be a twin/family room. Please see Available Rooms for Promotional Code. All rooms are equipped to a very high standard with everything you could possibly need. There is a wonderful oak panelled room downstairs for you to relax in with an enormous open fireplace which has a welcoming roaring fire in the winter months.
History to the present day
The house is steeped in history and dates back to the early 16th Century. All the bedrooms have been recently renovated thus providing modern comfortable accommodation within an atmosphere of centuries past. The nearby village of Kilpeck boasts one of the most well known and outstanding Norman churches. It dates back to the 12th century and much has been written about it. Nearby is the cathedral city of Hereford home of the Mappa Mundi.
Food and Drinks
A traditional English breakfast is served with delicious locally sourced ingredients. The bread and jams are all homemade. The fruit, where possible comes from our vegetable garden. Amanda is a cordon Bleu cook and is happy to do evening meals either 2 course suppers or 3 course dinners. Again all ingredients are locally sourced. Meals can be taken either in the old beamed bacon curing room now the dining room under candlelight or outside on balmy summer evenings under the vine and clematis covered pergola in the garden.
Grounds and gardens
Situated within its own farmland and therefore not overlooked and totally secluded with a wonderful garden for guests to explore and relax in. In the heart of the Welsh Marches, an area of outstanding natural beauty in which you can explore the cider routes of Herefordshire or do a tour of the black and white villages many of which are unchanged since the middle ages. Ideally situated for walking in the beautiful Wye valley or in the Black Mountains. There is a wealth of National Trust properties, churches and well known gardens to visit.
