Introduction
The Falmouth is a Victorian chateau-style hotel which is set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens and it enjoys a prime sea front location. On one side is Pendennis Castle, the headland, beach and sea and on the other, views over to the famous port of Falmouth. From the hotel, it is an easy stroll into the town centre and the maritime area.
The Falmouth has 3 stars and wears its Victorian charm and comfortable atmosphere well. The Falmouth has an excellent reputation for its food and it is a popular venue for Sunday lunch and local residents dining out. It has also won an award for its Cornish Cream Teas.
The hotel offers individually furnished rooms, which are available as single, double, twin, and premier and premier plus rooms. All premier rooms have added touches such as bathrobes, toiletries and mineral water. Premier Plus rooms have the added luxury of spa baths and balconies.
History to the present day
The Falmouth Hotel was the first commercial built hotel in the town back in 1865. In the 19th century, Falmouth was home to the Packet Ships - the ships that once carried post and packages around the world. The hotel overlooks in part, Falmouth’s natural harbour which is the largest deep-water harbour in Europe and third deepest in the world.
Food and Drinks
Full English or Continental Breakfast included and served from 7.30am. The Falmouth offers a choice of dining options for guests. Its award winning restaurant, The Trelawney, has sea views and offers more formal dining. It has a spacious lounge bar with plenty of comfortable seating. Dress for The Trelawney is smart casual. The restaurant serves dinner between 6.45pm–9.00pm and Sunday Lunch, which is served from 12.30pm–3.00pm. Reservations are required for dining. The comfortable lounge bar offers a comprehensive menu of light snacks and meals available throughout the day and into the evening. The main lounge bar and the smaller Camellia Lounge both offer sea views and free Wi-fi for guests.

The hotel overlooks the harbour and there is easy access to the beach. The hotel is set in 5 acres of landscaped gardens.

The hotel has a small gym, equipped with 2 power joggers, a rowing machine, a cycle and 2 multi-fitness apparatus. The leisure suite has a 15m heated indoor pool, a whirlpool bath and sauna. Leisure facilities are free for resident guests.
The Nirvana Beauty Rooms offer a full range of beauty and holistic treatments for men and women. Nirvana is open Mondays - Fridays from 9.00am-6.00pm and Saturdays from 9.00am-5.00pm.

Directions: From St. Austell, take the A390 towards Truro. Take the left hand turn on to the B3287, marked St. Mawes/Tregony. Drive through Tregony and turn left at T-junction on to A3078, signposted St. Mawes (12 Miles). The hotel is on the left hand side as you enter the village. Car Parking in Village Car park, 50 yards from the hotel.
