Introduction
Finglen House nestles at the foot of the spectacular Campsie Hills just 30 minutes to the north of Glasgow, 30 minutes South of Loch Lomond and 40 mins from Edinburgh making Finglen House the ideal location to explore Scotland. It's location also offers itself as a perfect resting location for visitors heading further north. It offers two double en suite rooms which over look the Campsie Hills. A perfect location between Loch Lomond and Glasgow which provides an excellent base for expeditions to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling or for exploring and experiencing the sublime beauty of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.
Two double rooms available one with Ensuite facilities and the other with a private next door bathroom. Both have views over the surrounding countryside.
History to the present day
Built about 200 years ago Finglen House is full of charm and atmosphere. It was originally a small shooting lodge to Ballandalloch and has been extended over the years to become quite an extensive house.
Food and Drinks
Full English breakfast is served from 7.00am to 9.00am in front of a log fire together with home made bircher muesli, home made granola, home made bread, fruit choices, croissant, fruit juice and eggs from the resident chickens.
Grounds and gardens
Sitting in 8 acres of woodland the garden has a burn running through the where you can sit and watch dippers, duck and herons. The three acre garden gives a feeling of complete seclusion, rare for a property so close to Glasgow.
Other facilities
Guests are welcome to relax in the sitting room where you will find newspapers, magazines television and a cosy log fire.

Directions: From Strathblane A81: In Strathblane turn right at the Kirkhouse Inn signed Lennoxtown, Campsie Glen, A891. Drive for three miles until you get to the village of Haughhead, a few houses on the right and a wall and trees on the left. Turn into the one entrance in the wall signed Schoenstatt and turn immediately left and Finglen House is at the end of the drive.
