History to the present day

The Gainsborough hotel is a Georgian property converted to a hotel. The design of the hotel is that of a Country Home. The paintings in the Lobby are replicas of the paintings by renowned artist - Gainsborough. Also adorning the walls of the Gainsborough are paintings by Dante.

For those using public transport, we are only five minutes walk from South Kensington (Circle, District, Piccadilly lines).  Walk west along Harrington Road and Queensberry Place is the first road on the right.

Alternatively you can always take a taxi or a large number of buses stop at South Kensington, including 9, 10, 14, 74, C1.

If you are driving, there is a Union Car Park on Harrington Road, only one minutes walk away.
