Introduction

The Grange Country House offers fine quality bed and breakfast accommodation on the outskirts of Keswick, in the Lake District.

Awarded 5 Star Guest House status by VisitBritain and the AA in August 2008.

Fully licensed so you can enjoy a nice cold beer or bottle of wine, whilst watching the sun setting behind the fells.

All rooms have flat screen televisions with digital channels. Fair trade beverage trays, mineral water and toiletries in each room are complimentary.

History to the present day

The Grange was originally built in 1850 as a very grand family home with lovely gardens and the finest fern collection in The North of England.

Food and Drinks

Breakfast is served between 8.00am - 9.30am starting with a buffet of fresh cut fruit salad along with local yoghurts, berry fruits, pastries & cereals.

Cooked breakfasts include full cumbrian, eggs benedict and smoked salmon on scrambled eggs made with only the finest locally farmed dry cured back bacon, cumbrian sausage and free-range eggs. Fair Trade teas and coffee are used wherever possible.

Grange Country House Hotel is licensed so you can enjoy a glass of wine in the lounge or out on the terrace, taking in the views.

Enjoy the comfortable lounge where you can read or play chess and backgammon and venture onto the scenic outdoor terrace.

Directions:

Leave the M6 at Junction 40 take the A66 for 13 miles, to the first slip road into Keswick. Drop down the hill and then turn left, uphill on the A591 towards Windermere for half a mile. Take the first turning right onto Manor Brow. The Grange sits 200 yards on the right overlooking Keswick.

Directions from Ambleside and Windermere - Drop down the hill into Keswick. When you get just within the Keswick boundary there is a left turn, dropping down Manor Brow. The Grange sits 200 yards on the right overlooking Keswick.
