Nestling in the heart of the South Downs National Park, Lewes Townhouse sits in the centre of town and set over three floors. The fully equipped kitchen/diner is on the ground floor. Upstairs is the living room with comfy sofas. TV/DVD and a library of DVD's, a sound system, games for all ages, good books, restful lighting, and a lovely view to the Downs. Next door is bedroom one, a small double with walk in wardrobe. All bedrooms have cotton sheets, plump duvets and pillows, radio and hair-dryer, mirrors and restful lighting. A WC with handbasin is situated on this floor. On the third floor are bedrooms two and three and the bathroom. Bedroom two is a compact double, it can fit two people snugly! Or it can be a large single. Bedroom three is the larger one, and a cot can placed in this room if needed. The bathroom has a good shower, bathtub, heated towel rail, washbasin and WC.
A welcome pack of essentials is provided to help you settle in, if you have any special requests, such as full breakfast items or chilled evening meal, please request this in the Additional Information Box.

History to the present day
Lewes Townhouse was built over two hundred years ago and retains much of its original character.
Food and Drinks
As you enter the front door, the well appointed kitchen leads off the hallway. It is fully equipped with cooking utensils, oven and hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, dining table, washing machine/dryer, lots of work surface and cupboards full of crockery, glassware, pots, pans and that all important cafetiere.
Grounds and gardens
Although there is no outside space there is a lovely well maintained park, Grange Gardens with art gallery and cafe within a few yards of the property.
The accommodation has TV/DVD, sound system, games, good books, restful lighting. Lovely places to eat on the doorstep, quirky, independent shops and markets close by, specialising in organic, local food. Classical concerts, Glyndebourne Opera House, rock and folk gigs, art galleries, Independent films, fascinating talks. Walk the Chalk Hills, chat to friendly locals in the many traditional pubs, sipping real ale from Lewes’ own brewery, Harveys. Bike hire can be arranged for guests and folding chairs are available. A nearby leisure centre with large communal/childrens pool, saunas, gym, climbing wall is within walking distance. An outdoor pool is also 5 minutes away, it is the oldest spring fed swimming pool in England, open in the summer months.

Directions: Leave A27 and take A277 onto Brighton Road. This leads into Westover Road, past Lewes Castle and into High Street. Take a right turn into St Andrews Lane, the left into Lansdowne Place where you will find the property on the corner.
Payment and cancellation terms
Please note that the deposit you pay at the time of booking is non-refundable and cancellation fees mentioned below are in addition to the deposit
A 50% non refundable deposit will secure your holiday and the full rental amount is payable six weeks before your arrival. When booking after the six week deadline, the full amount is payable.
A £150 returnable security amount is payable on arrival and will be returned within ten days of departure should there be no breakages.
