Introduction
This impressive Best Western Edwardian hotel is set on the historic Mid-Links in the picturesque town of Montrose, home to the 5th oldest golf course in the world and within walking distance of Montrose Beach, with its three miles of golden sand.
Each of the 25 en suite bedooms are luxuriously decorated and each has its own unique theme. Fluffy towels, toiletries and extra bedding are standard. By prior request, all requirements can be arranged from a bottle of champagne to enjoy on arrival, to chocolates and fresh flowers. Families will be allocated next door to each other if possible. Cots are available on request.

History to the present day
The Links Hotel was the home of the former mill owner James Paton and dates from 1875.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served in the ground floor Conservatory from 7.30am until 9.30am during the week and from 8.00am to 10.00am at weekends. Guests have a choice of cereals, fruits and juices from the buffet and orders are taken for tea/coffee, toast and hot breakfast.
The a la carte Restaurant provides fine dining six days a week from 12.00pm - 2.30pm and 6.00pm - 8.45pm (9.30pm on Saturday). It offers an extensive menu which is changed regularly, usually in line with the season to make use of local produce and products. Be sure you make a booking (in the Additional Information section of the booking form) to avoid disappointment.
For a relaxing tea or coffee and perhaps a snack or lunch, the 'Koffiehuis' provides an informal setting with continental coffees and home baking and is open from 10.00am - 5.00pm Monday to Saturday
On Sundays the hotel serves a Carvery lunch from 12pm - 2.30pm and Grill in the evening from 6.00pm - 8.45pm with special prices for children and senior citizens.
There is a small cocktail bar for guests to relax in and during the summer enjoy a meal out on the terrace. Throughout the year various Folk, Jazz and Classical evenings can be booked to include dinner and entertainment.
Private dining can also be arranged in the Drawing Room and for larger parties the Fairways Suite and Function Rooms are available.

Directions:
From A90, turn off at Brechin (A935). Drive through Brechin and continue on the A935 past the House of Dun on your left to Montrose. After 10 miles you arrive in Montrose.
At first roundabout take first exit marked for Town Centre. At the top of the road turn right at traffic lights towards the town centre. Go straight on at the mini round about, drive past the swimming pool on the left hand side and continue towards the town centre.
At 2nd set of traffic lights turn 1st left into John Street. Follow road right to the end and then turn right and right again into hotel car park.
Airports: Aberdeen 45 miles, Edinburgh 80 miles, Glasgow 90 miles.
Railway: Montrose 0.5 miles.
