Introduction

The Lordleaze Hotel is a comfortable country hotel with an excellent restaurant and bar. The Owen family have personally run the hotel for 12 years with attention to detail and a warm atmosphere. Recently awarded an AA 3 star Hotel rating, one of the highest in the area. The only 3 star hotel in Chard and close to the South Coast in the heart of cider country, with lots of National Trust properties and many other places of interest nearby.

Set in a secluded area on the Somerset, Dorset, Devon borders and surrounded by natural pasture land but only three minutes away from Chard town centre. It is a perfect location for those seeking peace and tranquillity. The 25 ensuite bedrooms are ideal for a night away or a long holiday, offering ground floor bedrooms, a room with disabled facilities and family rooms. Well behaved pets can also be accommodated.

An 18th century converted farmhouse with many historical places of interest nearby.

Food and Drinks

Good quality local produce cooked well is the essence of the kitchen. The Conservatory Restaurant & Garden Room are open every evening with bar meals also available and lunch every Sunday. All diets and tastes are catered for. Fortunate to be surrounded by good fresh local produce which influences the menu, especially fresh fish delivered daily and the local farms which supply the restaurant with quality meat, dairy and artisan products.

Directions: From London (Heathrow & Gatwick) take the M3 then the A303 which joins the A358 at Ilminster. From the M5 (Bristol Airport), leave at junction 25 and take the A358 to Chard. The hotel is off the A358 Chard to Axminster Road - look out for the brown signs.

By Rail: Axminster & Crewkerne stations are on the Waterloo - Exeter line (10 minute taxi drive to the hotel).

Taunton Station links to London Paddington and the rest of the country (25 minute taxi drive to the hotel).
