History to the present day

Originally built in 1882 its majestic architecture is echoed throughout with its bright and airy rooms and lofty high ceilings making it the perfect chic Highland retreat.

Food and Drinks

Full Scottish breakfast is served from 6.45am - 9.30am with a selection of teas, coffee and fruit juice.

Enjoy a drink or light meal in the Cafe Caledonian where a modern spacious interior offers various seperate areas in which to relax and watch the world go by. In the evening, dinner is served in the atmospheric Restaurant Caledonian where the menu changes daily in keeping with the seasonal produce selected by the Chef.

There is limited metered parking on the street outside the hotel, however further parking is available at the railway station and throughout Oban.

Directions: Oban is just 2 hours drive from Glasgow and Stirling in the south and Fort William in the north.

From the south, take the A82 to Tyndrum and then the A85 onward to Oban. From the north take the A82 to just after The Ballachulish Bridge and then at the roundabout take the A828. Once in Oban, follow the signs to the train station and you will find yourselves at the front door.
