Introduction
The Old Court House is an ideal bed and breakfast holiday location, perfect for sightseeing and touring around England’s largest National Park. The property is 4 star accredited by the AA. All bedrooms have full en-suite shower rooms. A Twin and Double are situated on the ground floor. Each room is fully fitted and contains colour TV, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and radio alarms and free wireless broadband in most rooms.
There is a 2 night minimum stay at weekends and during the summer months until end september. For Bank Holidays there is a 3 night minimum stay, please use promotional code BANK HOLIDAYS.
History to the present day
It is one of the oldest buildings in Bowness, built in 1843 as the police station and jail and extended in 1858 to incorporate the Court House. One of the bedrooms was the cell to the police station, although there is no evidence of that now.
Food and Drinks
Breakfast is served from 9.00am - 9.30am but can be flexible, starts with cereals, yoghurt, fruit, and juice from the sideboard, plus a selection of tea, cafetière coffee or hot chocolate. Full English breakfast of Cumberland sausage, grilled bacon, mushrooms, beans, vine tomato, eggs fried, scrambled or poached as preferred. Vegetarian option is also available.

To the front of the property is a small patio area where guests can enjoy a drink.

Directions: From the M6 take Junction 36 onto A590. Continue onto A591 into Windermere village. Drive through the one way system towards Bowness (about a mile) as you arrive in Bowness the Old Court House is on the corner next to the cinema.
