Introduction
A Grade II listed Georgian Manor House set in the Wiltshire countryside. Most of the rooms have been re-decorated over the past year and many have new soft furnishings to complement the decor. Four poster bedroom available. Last year the hotel was featured on the well known Sky TV travel programme Britain's Best Breaks.
The hotel has been 'recommended by travellers' as No. 1 for Bradford on Avon and No. 2 for Wiltshire on The Trip Advisor website.

History to the present day
The manor is situated on Trowle Common - a Doomsday book site. At the time part of the Abbess of Glastonbury's estate and constructed some 500 years ago. Originally just a typical farmhouse, it was altered to a genteel gentleman's residence in 1700 to mirror the rebuilding of Bath in a country setting. In the older section of the farmhouse, what was originally a three roomed cross-passage house, the inner room still exists, initially open to the roof but always with a fireplace, which is still in use.
Food and Drinks
The hotel serves full English breakfasts that are cooked freshly to order using local free-range eggs and locally cured bacon. A selection of fruit juices and teas and coffees are served with the breakfast. Breakfast is served: Monday to Friday 7.15am - 9.00am Weekends & Bank Holidays 8.15am - 9.30am.
Grounds and gardens
The grounds and gardens extend to over 4 acres. They are beautifully tended and have recently won Hotel Garden of the Year. A section of the garden has been made over to wildlife and has become a haven. Guests can relax in the various seating areas with afternoon tea, drinks or picnics.

Directions: From M25/M4-Westbound from London (north and west)
Exit Junction 17 (M4). Head south on A350 on the Chippenham By-pass where A4 crosses A350 follow the A4 towards Corsham/Bath. After by-passing Corsham take left fork to Bradford on Avon on B3109, join A363 at Bradford on Avon and enter town, cross the bridge and after 100 metres turn left at mini roundabout, remaining on A363 towards Trowbridge, the hotel is on the right at the top of the hill just after you pass the sign 'Welcome to Trowbridge'.
From M5-Southbound/Northbound or M4 Eastbound (from Wales)
Join M4 eastbound towards London, exit Junction 18, southbound towards Bath on A46. By pass Bath and stay on dual carriageway for another mile till you reach the Batheaston roundabout. Follow A363 to Bradford on Avon. Join A363 at Bradford on Avon and enter town, cross the bridge and after 100 metres turn left at mini roundabout, remaining on A363 towards Trowbridge.
From south Coast Travel via Frome if coming from the west or Warminster By-pass from the east, at Trowbridge follow the signs for 'Through Traffic' then to Bath/Bradford on Avon on the A363, the hotel is on the A363 on the left at the top of the hill as you leave Trowbridge.
