History to the present day

In 1860 the Rectory was built by public subscription to accommodate the rector to the local church and it became a cultural focal point in this community of miners, river men and steel workers.  The present owner has, since 1992, completely restored the Rectory.

Food and Drinks

Breakfast is served between 7.00am and 9.30am and consists of a full English breakfast with yogurts and pro-biotic drinks, cheeses, cereals and muesli.

The Old Rectory has just under two acres of grounds with outdoor seating available.

Directions:

From the M54 exit at Junction 4. Take 2nd exit off roundabout towards Telford. At next roundabout take 2nd exit towards Telford. 300 yds at next roundabout 1st exit (left) onto dual carriageway. Approx ½ mile filter left on to A442 signposted Kidderminster & Bridgnorth. Filter to right, keeping on A442 following signs to Bridgnorth. 400 yds at next roundabout 2nd exit (straight on) 400 yds turn right onto small road signposted Coalport & Broseley. Follow this narrow country lane down into the Severn Valley, crossing river via single file bridge after approx 1 mile. Continue up and out of the valley for approx 1.5 miles until you reach cross roads in Broseley. Turn right travelling downhill towards Ironbridge (Ironbridge Road). After about 400 yards you will see the sign for the Old Rectory. Turn left through the gates.
