Introduction

The Old Rectory is situated in the quiet village of Campsea Ashe, minutes from Woodbridge which is the site of one of the greatest Anglo Saxon archaeological discoveries found in England. It is an ideal location to tour Suffolk with its many attractions such as stately homes, castles, stunning countryside and clean sandy beaches. 

The property offers 7 luxury boutique style large, airy and light bedrooms, two which lead directly into the garden and one "Garden Cottage" which is a self contained cottage located in the gardens. All rooms are en suite and have large comfortable beds, very spacious bathrooms which either have walk in showers or large bath tubs/showers. All rooms have additional seating and views across the gardens or church. Please note there is a minimum stay of two nights at weekends.

History to the present day

A former Georgian rectory built in 1750 which still retains many orginal features and architecture. 

Food and Drinks

Full English breakfast served from 8.15am to 10.00am in the Conservatory in the summer months and in the Dining room with its log fire in the winter. Dinner is served Monday to Friday at 7.30pm and includes a varied menu, including vegetarian options. All dishes are freshly prepared and are made using locally sourced ingredients. Dinner can be arranged for 10 or more guests on weekend nights. Drinks can be purchased on the premises from the 'honesty bar'.

Relax in the three acres of gardens with outdoor seating available.

Other facilities

Guests have use of a comfortable drawing room with a lit open fire in the winter months. One well-behaved dog may stay with you in the Garden Cottage or Coach House as these rooms open up directly onto the garden. Visiting dogs are not permitted in the main house and dogs are welcome to use the garden which is fully fenced.
