Introduction

Packwood Court is a stone built Guesthouse, which combines style with comfort to create a delightful atmosphere for a superb B & B offering luxurious rooms, all furnished to a high standard. The rooms have crisp, white cotton bedding and are en-suite, making your stay as relaxing as possible. Guests are invited to the dining room to relax on the soft leather settees and enjoy them at any time of day.

Ideally positioned to visit Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire Tourist attractions, including The Botanic Gardens, Aberglasnedy House and Garden as well as the Pembrokeshire Coastline.

History to the present day

Laugharne is a place steeped in history, with its splendid handsome castle dating back to the 13th Century. Alongside the castle runs the Taf Estuary, which has remained unspoilt over the centuries, a natural habitat for a host of wild birds. Of course we must not forget 'Dylan Thomas'. Laugharne was home to the poet and lots of his work was written in his writing shed. Dylan Thomas spent many an hour in his favourite local pub, 'The Browns'. The boathouse where he lived also is an attraction for interested guests.

Although Packwood Court is newly built, reclaimed materials have been used wherever possible, from polished oak floors to gothic windows which add to the charm and character of this beautifully stone built Guesthouse.

Food and Drinks

The price includes a fabulous breakfast and caters for all tastes. Offering fresh fruit salad, yoghurts, cereals, porridge and a full English breakfast. All ingredients are locally sourced. The bread is baked by Laugharne Bakery and all eggs are Free Range (Packwood is hoping to have their own chickens this year, so they can have all the free range eggs guests could want). Only local Butchers sausages are used and of course  ‘Welsh Tea!’ is served

Delicious traditional home cooked evening meals are available, please book meals in the morning for the evening.

Grounds and gardens

Packwood Court is set in 5 acres of land, in which Tony and Loraine are currently planting fruit bushes and apple trees for the future to provide most of the soft fruit for their wonderful breakfasts.

Other facilities

There is free Internet access in every room and ample of off-road parking in front of the guesthouse.

There are several superb golf courses only a short drive away and safe, dry storage for your clubs and bags is available, so all you need to worry about is how to play as many courses as possible during your stay.

Directions: From M4 Reading, Exit onto A48 At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A48 heading to Caerfyrddin/Carmarthen/Cross Hands. Go through 1 roundabout. At the next roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto A40 heading to Abergwaun/Fishguard/Sanclêr/St Clears/Johnstown. Go through 1 roundabout. Take the exit toward High St/A4066. Turn right at High St/A4066 Continue to follow A4066. Packwood Court will be on the right
