Introduction

Welcome to Plumpton Court - the ideal place to stay for Bed & Breakfast in the small village of Nawton between Helmsley and Kirkbymoorside in the foothills of the North Yorkshire Moors. The 6 en suite bedrooms are well appointed and tastefully furnished. Plumpton Court is a non smoking establishment.

History to the present day

The property, built in the 17th century was a grocers shop from approx 1900 until 1970. It was then converted back into a cottage until the 1990's, when it was transformed into a Bed and Breakfast.

Food and Drinks

Breakfast is served daily from 8.45am - 9.15am. Enjoy the full English breakfast made with local free range eggs, the host's homemade marmalade and an award winning black pudding. Sausages and bacon are from the local butcher. A selection of fruit juices, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, teas and coffee are also available. 

Grounds and gardens

To the rear of the property, there is a garden and small patio area, where afternoon tea and drinks can be served.

Relax in the homely lounge and enjoy a bottle of wine from the well stocked bar.
To the rear of the house is a private, secure residents car park and a secluded garden. 

WiFi in all rooms, television with digital radio, hairdryer, tea and coffee facilities, iron and ironing board available on request, freeview & DVD player. A range of DVD's for guests to use are also available.

Directions:  From A1, take junction 49 to Thirsk A168. Take the 2nd turning to Thirsk A170 to Scarborough and East Coast. Follow A170 to Helmsley, 3 miles after Helmsley (still on A170) you reach Beadlam which runs into Nawton. Take the 3rd left into High Street (just after memorial tree seat on your right) Plumpton Court is 30 metres on your left.

The nearest train station is Malton.
