Introduction

The Rusland Pool Hotel is situated in open countryside with stunning scenery, beside the A590 it is the ideal place to explore the lakes and is located in the Lake District National Park between Morecambe Bay and Windermere. With popular destinations such as Coniston, Cartmel Peninsula, Windermere, Bowness, Ulverson, Barrow-in-Furness, and the Cumbria Coast which are only a short drive away.

The Rusland is open all year round with a variety of double, twin and family rooms. Everyone is welcome and there are outside rooms which if required can accommodate well behaved pets.

History to the present day

The hotel is named after the nearby stream which rises in Grizedale Forest between Lake Windermere and Coniston Water.

Food and Drinks

A full English Breakfast is provided using the best fresh local ingredients and is served from 8.00am-9.30am in the large 40 seater restaurant.

There is an extensive a la carte menu, supplemented by the Chefs specials for lunch, dinner or an informal snack. In the restaurant, the conservatory and the wine bar food is served every day from 12 noon until 9pm. The hotel is committed to serving fresh food made on the premises from the best locally sourced ingredients. Extra charges may apply.
