Introduction

Tim & Elizabeth would like to welcome you to Sherbourne House, a privately run Georgian Country House on the edge of Attleborough, a historic market town 15 miles southwest of Norwich. The hotel has been refurbished in the last few years, recapturing the historic character and providing a warm friendly atmosphere. Sherbourne House offers ideal accommodation, providing personal service with a touch of style and great food.

The hotel offers 8 individually styled rooms, furnished with care and thoughtful touches. All are ensuite, 6 with bath and shower and 2 with shower only.

Our AA Rosette winning restaurant Holly's @ Sherbourne House serves a wide variety of freshly cooked, local produce to cater for all tastes.

History to the present day

Sherbourne House, built around 1740, was originally utilised as a manager's cottage for the estate.

Food and Drinks

A full English breakfast is included in the price and served in the restaurant.

Holly's @ Sherbourne House offers a place to meet and have a drink with friends or to eat from our menu.

Awarded an AA Rosette for our food the menu reflects seasonal and local availability and provides a good selection of freshly prepared dishes at a reasonable price.

As far as possible our food is freshly prepared and sourced locally, from the finest beef to the freshest shellfish from the Norfolk coast.

Holly's is open to residents all week from 6.30pm. Last orders 8.45 pm.

Grounds and gardens

The hotel offers a lovely garden to provide extra pleasure and relaxation for all guests.

The hotel offers free high speed wi-fi broadband connection throughout and there is ample car parking within the grounds of the house.

All children are welcome. Children aged 12 and under are charged GBP £25.00 per child per night for an extra cot or bed. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

Directions: from A11 - London and Cambridge
Leave A11 at 'Breckland Lodge' Roundabout signposted Attleborough. Continue for approx 2 miles. On entering Attleborough centre, pass Sainsbury's on your left, continue along the one way system, passing the town green on your left. Reach St Mary's church on your right, take the left turn (signposted Norwich A11). Sherbourne House is approx 200 metres on the right.

Directions from A11 - Norwich
Leave A11 at exit for Attleborough, approx 500 metres past BP garage. At the end of the slip road, turn left towards the town. Travel for approx 1 mile, Sherbourne House is on the left, just before reaching the church.
