Introduction

A warm and friendly old English traditional inn situated in the small village of East Tytherley, Romsey in the Test Valley, ideal for exploring attractions in Hamsphire and Wiltshire with picturesque villages and main towns of Andover, Romsey and Stockbridge.

Three guest rooms available which are situated in a small cottage in the grounds and overlook the village cricket green. All rooms are en suite and individually styled, comfortable and quiet with televisions and tea coffee making facilities. You are welcome to bring your well behaved dog to stay in the rooms and certain parts of the inn, on a lead, please add pet stay with your booking. Wi-Fi is available throughout the inn.

History to the present day

Built in the late 16th Century and originally part of the Lockerley Hall Estate owned by the Dalgety family. Full of original features including open fires and beams. 

Food and Drinks

Full English breakfast is included and served between 9.00am-9.30am in the light and airy restaurant overlooking the courtyard. During the winter breakfast is served in the bar near the open fire and in good weather, in the courtyard garden. Enjoy award winning 2 rosette food in the restaurant which serves lunch and dinner everyday with frequently changing menus, which offer locally sourced, seasonal food. Choose from a fixed price three course lunch and dinner menu with lighter snacks also available. Relax in the cosy bar area with your refreshment choice.

Grounds and gardens

Enjoy the seated courtyard garden with its giant size chess set or just relax with your food and drink.

Have a go at the traditional pub skittle alley or browse through the selection of interesting books or daily newspapers in the bar along with a choice of board games.
