Introduction

Stuart House is a small, friendly independently owned hotel, bar and restaurant, hidden in the centre of the small medieval market town and historic port of King's Lynn. Situated in its own grounds just a few minutes walk from the river and ‘The Walks’, an extensive and attractive park. Kings Lynn is close to many places of interest such as Royal Sandringham, the wonderful Norfolk Countryside and Beaches.

The hotel offers a selection of rooms, ranging from single, standard and superior doubles, larger executive rooms and a four poster, all individually styled, comfortable and well equipped.

History to the present day

The original building dates back to Victorian times when it was the private residence of a prominent King's Lynn businessman. The hotel still retains original features such as open fires.

Food and Drinks

The Stuart Restaurant offers a varied international menu complimented by daily specials. Prepared whenever possible, from fresh, seasonal, local produce. Ingredients are sourced locally from the butcher, grocer and fresh fish merchant. Opening times are Monday to Saturday - 7.00pm to 9.30pm, Sunday Evening - 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

The hotel has a small, but popular, bar with a cosy open fire in winter and doors which open into the beer garden in the summer.

The well appointed Victorian bar is listed in the 'CAMRA' Good Beer Guide and offers a selection of real ales, fine wines, Malt Whiskies and informal bar meals.

Grounds and gardens

There are two gardens, one on either side of the building. The West facing garden is for residents only, whilst that on the East side adjoining the car park is used as a beer garden.

Downstairs there are two pleasant reception areas. 

Stuart House Hotel offers a year round programme of events including Regular Live Music, Murder Mystery Evenings, Christmas Party Nights and the annual King's Lynn beer festival held in the grounds in July.
