Introduction
The Hemmel is a comfortable B&B offering a choice of en suite double and twin rooms in a newly converted barn. The building has been sympathetically converted to a high standard providing comfortable accommodation with modern amenities whilst retaining its charm and character and nestling beneath the hills near Wooler which is the "Gateway to the Cheviots", just minutes from Northumberland's stunning coastline. Ideal to take in the breath taking scenery, walking, riding, fishing, golf and bird watching. Local places to visit include Bamburgh, Alnwick and Chillingham Castles, Farne and Holy Islands.
History to the present day
Converted from a old stone barn building the building still retains a rustic feel. The lounge has a real wood burning stove and traditional furnishings.

Full English breakfast included. The full window dining room looks onto the pretty courtyard.
Grounds and gardens
The private court yard is accessible via the living room/dining room area and is perfect for relaxing in the warmer months.

Guests have full use of a comfortable living room, which includes Free View TV, books and a wood burning stove.

Directions: From the south take the A1 north Follow directions to Wooler and Chatton. One mile before reaching Wooler at a staggered cross roads turn right into Way-to-Wooler Farm and follow signs into The Hemmel B & B.
Form the north take the A1 south from Berwick and take the Wooler road (B6525) until reaching Wooler, then as above.
