Introduction
The Torridon is a luxury hotel situated in the Highlands of Scotland. Set in 58 acres of parkland at the end of a magnificent sea loch, The Torridon has one of the most idyllic locations in the country.
All the bedrooms are individually designed with fine furnishings and fabrics, decorated to ensure the utmost in comfort. The relaxing bedrooms are spacious with many offering views across the Loch to the Torridon mountains. Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with luxury towels, bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries.
History to the present day
The hotel was originally built as a shooting lodge for the Earl of Lovelace in 1887 with 58 acres of land leading down to the shores of Upper Loch Torridon.
Period features include a huge fire in the panelled hall and a zodiac ceiling in the drawing room.
Food and Drinks
The Torridon has a two rosette fine dining restaurant with a 5 course set menu showcasing the best of local ingredients combined with Head Chef Bruno Birckbeck's culinary skills.
With the best of the Highland larder right on the doorstep, the quality of produce at The Torridon Restaurant is second to none. Fresh fish and shellfish, beef, lamb, wild boar and succulent fruit and vegetables is all sourced for maximum freshness and as locally as possible.
The Whisky Bar offers a selection of 350 malts to choose from.
Grounds and gardens
The Torridon is set within extensive grounds where guests can take part in leisure activites from Torridon Activities such as kayaking, archery, clay pigeon shooting and gorge scrambling.

Directions:
From Inverness, cross the Kessock Bridge and proceed towards Ullapool (A835).
Just beyond the village of Garve, at the A832 turn left, signposted Kyle of Lochalsh. Follow this road all the way to Achnasheen. Once at Achnasheen, continue on the road to Kinlochewe (do not take the turn off to the Kyle of Lochalsh. You will see the road winding in front of you down through the mountains - at the foot of the glen, you will see Loch Maree. In Kinlochewe, pass the hotel on the left, and take the next road left (A896) to Torridon. Ten miles to Torridon through Glen Torridon.
Do not take the road into Torridon Village. The hotel is in fact one mile past the turn off. Continue on the A896 through Annat. The hotel's driveway is on the right. Our porter will help you with your luggage.
