Introduction

Tucked away in the beautiful and tranquil village of Black Bourton, lies The Vines Hotel and Restaurant. Not just a place for excellent food and wine, but The Vines also offers excellent overnight accommodation in superbly equipped, spacious and comfortable en-suite bedrooms.

Each room has been thoughtfully designed and offers comfortable and spacious accommodation. All rooms are well furnished and include a colour television, tea and coffee making facilities, and desks, and all have en suite shower rooms/ wet rooms.

So successful has the welcoming atmosphere of “The Vines” proved that in 2006 it was been necessary to build an attractive new detached wing in the gardens overlooking the lovely Black Bourton church.

A perfect base for visitors to the beautiful Cotswolds.

History to the present day

Built as a pub in the 1940s. The Vines took over from the old Village Inn which was then too small for the American troops brought in to the area during the war.

The handsome stone facade might be very traditional but the inside offers a unique and unusual experience with stunning murals and reliefs created in 2000 by John Clegg of BBC Real Rooms. Hence, the new Vines was born.

Food and Drinks

Full English breakfast included and served Monday-Friday 7.00am-9.00am, Weekends 8.00am - 10.00am
All dishes are freshly prepared and most cooked from locally sourced ingredients. The menu varies with the seasons and we welcome those who desire a lunch time lite bite or those choosing a la carte.

The spacious and comfortably furnished lounge area of The Vines with its leather sofas is an ideal place to relax with a drink or light snack whilst you enjoy a game of chess or just chat, particularly by a cosy log fire on a cold evening. On lovely summer days, the patio area is ideal for alfresco dining.

Grounds and gardens

You can enjoy the peace and quiet or play a game of the famous Aunt Sally game on the spacious patio.

There is plenty of space at the Vines, with a field backing onto countryside and mature trees and gardens throughout.

Other facilities

Secure parking on site.
