Introduction
Offering Bed and Breakfast accommodation, the 18th Century Wesley Guest House is located within easy walking distance of the historic locations and attractions of Epworth, as well as offering the ideal base for a visit to nearby Lincoln and York. In 2003 the historic town of Epworth was the focus of world celebrations to mark the 300th anniversary of the birth of John Wesley, founder of world Methodism.
There are six guest rooms, all of which are en-suite. For your convenience, there are tea and coffee making facilities and a TV in all the rooms together with complimentary toiletries.

History to the present day
Epworth's main claim to fame, is that it was the birthplace of the founder of Methodism, John Wesley, who was born at the Old Rectory in 1703, along with his hymn writing brother Charles who was born in 1707. He returned many times to Epworth, giving sermon's from the Market Cross and from his father, Samuel's tomb, next to St Andrew's church. Samuel was the rector of Epworth from 1696 to 1735. For those interested in the roots of Methodism and John Wesley, there are volumes of the published Wesley diaries on display in the house.

A full English breakfast is included in the price and is served in the breakfast room which has a wonderful view of the large garden.

A sauna and therapy room can be found in the large back garden. Massages can be booked at extra charge subject to prior notice.

Directions: M180 Junction 2, turn right off the slip road onto the A161 towards Gainsborough. Stay on this road for approx. 3 miles, through the village of Belton. Upon entering Epworth, turn left at the traffic lights onto the High Street. This takes you into the Market Square, take the first turning on your right onto Queen Street. Wesley Guest House is located approx. 100 yards on your left hand side.
