Introduction

This 5 star hotel is set in a wonderful location in the Lake District with beautiful views and clean mountain air. The house has been renovated and refurbished in a traditional style to a very high standard. Plenty to do in the immediate vicinity of the hotel with excellent walks, visitor attractions and some of the most stunning views in the world.

All the bedrooms are individually furnished and tastefully decorated, choose from standard doubles, twin, King size, four posters and junior suite rooms. Included are tea and coffee welcome trays, hairdryers, fluffy bathrobes, Molton Brown toiletries, a pillow menu, television with Freeview, iron and ironing board. Deluxe and junior suites also have additional DVD and CD players, fresh fruit bowls and complimentary slippers. All rooms have a welcome decanter of sherry to complement your arrival.

History to the present day

A elegant, traditional Lakeland stone built house of considerable character and charm, built in the 1890s as a Victorian gentleman’s residence.

Full English breakfast included using fresh, local and where possible organic produce. For those who prefer something lighter or a little different there is a continental, vegetarian and A La Carte breakfast menu.
